Tropical Storm Henri’s pounding rain flooded the state to such a degree that meteorologists called it a once-in-five-hundred-year event. Floodwater swallowed up hundreds of homes and businesses, including 194 in the Glenville area alone. Damage across the state was valued at $16.1 million.
