“Snowmageddon,” as called by President Barack Obama, brought close to two feet of snow and whiteout conditions to Washington. The District’s 250 plows and 750 transportation workers struggled to stay ahead of the accumulation. Hundreds of thousands went without power. The Federal Government shut down for four days, and air traffic faced its biggest disruption since 9/11.
