CERT Training

Where can I find the nearest CERT training?

To become a CERT member, you will have to take the CERT training from a sponsoring agency like an emergency management agency, fire department or police department in the area where you live or work. We recommend you contact your local CERT program for information about upcoming training courses. You may find your nearest CERT program by typing in your zip code on the CERT search page

You may also contact the local emergency manager where you live or work to ask about the education and training opportunities available to you. Let this person know about your interest in CERT.
While the hands-on classroom training is best, you may also be interested in the online Intro to CERT training course

To learn more about other online courses offered by FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute, you can view the full course list.
