What is National Preparedness Month (NPM)?
National Preparedness Month (NPM) is sponsored by the Ready Campaign in partnership with Citizen Corps and the Ad Council. NPM is designed to encourage Americans to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities.
NPM Highlights Across the Nation
FEMA's Indivividual and Community Preparedness Division is highlighting local NPM activities across the U.S.! This webinar will feature FEMA Community Preparedness Officers (or designates representative) from each region, covering the entire nation. Highlights will include activities and initiative taking place in their respective regions and will offer advice and insight on what can be done in your community.

The Community Preparedness Webinar Series features new community preparedness topics several times each month and is free to the public. Each webinar will accommodate the first 500 visitors that enter the website at the time of the webinar. In addition to airing live, the webinar will be recorded and viewable at your convenience on the website usually within 24 hours after the live webcast. To join the webinar live simply go to click on the linkon the upper right side of the page that says "Join the Webinar". The button will be live 10 minutes prior to the start of the webinar. Sign in as a guest.

A webinar is a web-based informational or training seminar (a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar) that is transmitted over the internet. This webinar will last approximately one hour. After the presentation is complete, you will have an opportunity to ask questions via the chat feature in the webinar system. The Community Preparedness Webinar Series is conducted in DHS's HSIN Connect system. You do not need to register in advance, nor do you need a HSIN account in order to view our webinars. Audio for this webinar will be broadcast within HSIN Connect; there will not be a concurrent, phone-based teleconference. Questions and answers will be moderated via text-based chat inside the webinar.
